A curvilinear earthwork ditch, approximately one metre wide, is visible on aerial photographs taken from the 1940s onwards and on images derived from lidar data captured in 2006. It broadly follows the contour along the side of a valley to the south-west of Worthy. It is interpreted as a post-medieval or 19th century catchmeadow gutter, although it is not depicted on the available historic mapping and presumably fell out of use by the late-19th century. It is possible that this catchmeadow operated as an integrated system whereby manure was mixed with the water and used to fertilise as well as irrigate the land. It could be associated with the large scale catchmeadow immediately to the east (MDV127787).
