Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2019-2020, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 2, Avon Valley to Plymouth (AI&M, formerly NMP) (Interpretation). SDV362982.

A sub-circular pit, circa 28m long by 26m wide, is visible as an earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2019. The pit does not correspond with any features in this exact location on the available historic mapping, although an earthwork labelled as ‘Quarry’ is shown in proximity to the north on the late-19th century First Edition Ordnance Survey map. This supports the interpretation that the earthwork represents a post-medieval or early to mid-19th century quarry which had likely passed out of use by the late-19th century.
