A series of linear and closely spaced parallel earthwork banks, northeast to southwest aligned and circa 9m wide, is visible on aerial photographs taken from 1946 onwards and on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2019. The earthworks correspond with an area symbolised as rough ground or marsh on the late 19th century First Edition Ordnance Survey map. An orchard is also shown in proximity to the south on this map. The earthworks are probably the result of 19th century agricultural improvement, although they could also represent tree planting banks of a post-medieval or early to mid-19th century orchard which had been cleared by the late 19th century.
