Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

NERC, 2013, LiDAR DTM data (1m resolution) Tellus: South Devon to Dartmoor, LIDAR SX6940 Tellus DTM 01-JUL-2013 to 31-AUG-2013 (Cartographic). SDV361514.

Curvilinear and linear earthwork banks and ditches are visible.

Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2019-2021, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 2, Avon Valley to Plymouth (AI&M, formerly NMP) (Interpretation). SDV362982.

Numerous linear and curvilinear earthwork banks and ditches, some up to 16 metres wide, are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2013. They fit into the surrounding field system as depicted on the Tithe map, and are interpreted as the plough-spread remains of the boundaries of a medieval field system.
Only features that do not correspond with field boundaries depicted on the Tithe map have been transcribed, and these had presumably gone out of use by the mid-19th century.
