Cropmarks of ditches approximately 2m wide are visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs of 2016 defining three sides of a rectilinear enclosed area circa 40m wide and at least 45m long on the east-facing slopes to the west of West Alvington village. The enclosure is probably of Iron Age to Roman date.
A cropmark cannot be confidently identified defining the south-eastern side of the enclosure.
