Historic building recording and archaeological monitoring was undertaken during tesing pitting, service trenching and reduction of ground levels associated with an extension to the glasshouse.
The 19th century glasshouse is on two levels, with a potting shed with store and WC above at the northern end and the glass house at the southern end with a partitioned area that once held a stove, and a store. The roof was part slate, part metal sheet. The interior was floored with Purbeck limestone and slate slabs to the south with earth to the north at the lower level.
No significant archaeological features were recorded in the test pits. Sherds of mid-late Victorian pottery were recovered during the monitoring of ground works.
