Numerous curvilinear banks and ditches around Leigh Barton are visible on Tellus lidar data captured in 2013, and more clearly on visualisations of Environment Agency lidar data captured in 2005. The interconnected complex to the north appears to have formed small enclosures, while immediately to the south, wide areas of higher ground may have been building platforms associated with early settlement at Leigh, though it is possible that these are geological in origin. Other curvilinear earthworks are interpreted as the boundaries of larger medieval fields.

Understanding Landscapes Project, 2020-2021, University of Exeter Understanding Landscapes Project - Volunteer data, 381.1 (Interpretation). SDV363949.

Very faint possibly ploughed out evidence of past habitation which could be part of the Leigh Barton manor house. Possibly building bases. SX394771.
