Summary

A relict field boundary of medieval or post-medieval date is visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2007 to the southeast of Horsebridge, Sydenham Damerel. It is visible on the mid-19th Parish Tithe Map, but had been removed by the late 19th century.

Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

The earthwork corresponds with a field boundary.

The field boundary has been removed.

A T-shaped earthwork bank, circa 6m wide and northeast to southwest and northwest to southeast aligned, is visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2007. The earthwork corresponds with a field boundary shown on the mid-19th Parish Tithe Map but had been removed by the late 19th century. The field boundary is interpreted as being of medieval or post-medieval date.
