Earthworks of curvilinear banks, circa 9m wide and northeast to southwest and northwest to southeast aligned, are visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2007. The earthworks do not correspond with any features shown on the late 19th century First Edition Ordnance Survey map but are broadly in keeping with the surrounding historic field pattern, which is characterised as Barton fields. They are interpreted as relict field boundaries of potential medieval date that had fallen out of use by the late 19th century.
