Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1970 - 1978, SX56SE70 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV343431.

Hut circle 24 feet (7.3 metres) diameter.

Edwards, C., 1979, An archaeological survey of an area surrounding Hemerdon Ball (Report - Survey). SDV337241.

Site visited on 26th June 1979. A prehistoric hut circle stands between Bottle Hill Leat to the west and the lower wall of the Prehistoric field system to the east. A horizontal platform has clearly been cut into the hillside to form the floor. Walls are well defined by a continuous circle of earth and stone. Vegetation cover of fern. Diameter 7 metres, with walls 1 metre wide and 0.2 metres high.

Visited on 2nd October 1980. Hut A) a circular hut platform 5.5 metres in diameter cut 0.4 metres deep into the hillslope on the east side and built up correspondingly on the west. There are three stones on the perimeter. (The hut type is uncertain).

Hut A) a circular platform 5.5 metres diameter cut 0.4 metres into the hillslope on the east side and built up on the west. Ther are three stones on the perimeter. (The hut type is uncertain).
Hut A) was in dense gorse vegetation and not located in 2002.
