Information submitted with a planning application shows the building to be a former stone-built threshing barn with two large opposing doors to eaves level. The doorway in the west elevation is buttressed. The interior is largely open to the roof but there is a small mezzanine floor at the north-east end. It has an A-frame roof structure. The slate roofing has been relaid or replaced. The floor is concrete. Adjoining the barn is a stone-built lean-to, with a galvanised shed behind, and a two-storey mainly brick building both with galvanised roofs.
