Earthworks of a sub-oval pit, circa 22m long by 14m wide, and a rectilinear bank, circa 16m long by 9m wide, are visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2005. The pit corresponds with an earthwork labelled as ‘Quarry’ on the late 19th century Ordnance Survey map. The earthworks are therefore interpreted as a post-medieval or early to mid-19th century quarry and spoil heap which had probably passed out of use by the late 19th century.
