A linear earthwork bank, up to 11 metres wide, is visible on images derived from lidar data captured from 2005. It runs east-north-east from Leigh Barton, and its western part corresponds with a trackway depicted on the late 19th century mapping. At its eastern end it appears to terminate at an earthwork hollow, described as ‘waste’ on the tithe apportionment and depicted as a stippled area and described as an Old Quarry on the late-19th century maps. The linear earthwork is interpreted as a trackway, connecting the post-medieval or 19th century quarry with Leigh Barton, perhaps created to supply material for renovations of the house.
