Southcoomb is named and depicted as several buildings surrounded by orchard.

Numerous curvilinear ditches around Southcombe Farm are visible on images derived from lidar data captured from 2005 onwards. One to the west is well defined and partially corresponds to a field boundary depicted on the tithe map. Those to the east are relatively slight, and are tentatively interpreted as the boundaries of a relict medieval field system around Southcombe.
