North-east to south-west aligned linear banks and ditches are identifiable on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2019 crossing the contours of the south-facing slopes to the north-west of Buckland Monachorum village.
An earthwork hollow corresponds with a field boundary depicted on the Tithe Map for Buckland Monachorum and has probably been enhanced by subsequent use as a farm track. Parallel banks visible as slight earthworks to the north-west and south-east are not shown. It is possible that these are agricultural in origin and modern in date, but it is more probable that they are the remains of field boundaries of post-medieval date, cleared by the mid-19th century.
