An earthwork pit, approximately 31 metres in maximum visible width, is visible on images derived from lidar data captured from 2005 onwards. It is not depicted on the available historic mapping, though a well is marked at the end of a lane which terminates immediately to the west. It is interpreted as a post-medieval extractive pit, that went out of use by the late-19th century.
