The area north of the watercourse is depicted as woodland and orchard.

A curvilinear earthwork ditch, up to approximately 2 metres wide, is visible on images derived from lidar data captured from 2005 onwards. It broadly follows the watercourse that runs along the valley, and appears to join a trackway depicted on the late-19th century OS maps. It is interpreted as a woodland trackway of probable post-medieval or modern date.
