An oval mound circa 22 metres in width is surrounded by a ditch up to 15 metres in width are both visible as earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data. The ditch adjoins an east-west aligned former field boundary also evidenced as a ditch earthwork (MDV129579).
The earthworks are situated immediately to the south of Lympscott Farm within an area characterised as former medieval enclosures based on strip fields. Lympscott Farm is recorded to have medieval origins (MDV16843). The mound and surrounding ditch do not correspond with any features depicted on the available 19th century historic maps. The adjoining east-west orientated ditch corresponds with a field boundary on the Tithe Map which passed out of use by circa 1880.
The earthworks are interpreted as associated with the farmstead and therefore of medieval to post-medieval origin. It is possible they could relate to a small former field system or could be part of formal landscaping, for example a tree mound.

Understanding Landscapes Project, 2020-2021, University of Exeter Understanding Landscapes Project - Volunteer data, 790.2 (Interpretation). SDV363949.

Earthwork; high spot noted enclosed by existing identified bank - largely circular and could be a barrow. A bank is annotated by the Cornwall NMP Ss 2907 1282
