Earthworks of two sub-oval pits, both circa 17m long by 12m wide, with possible outer banks, circa 5m wide, are visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2004 and 2013. The eastern of the two pits corresponds with a circular earthwork depicted on both the late 19th First Edition and early 20th century Second Edition Ordnance Survey maps.
They are interpreted as post-medieval or 19th century extractive pits with possible associated spoil heaps which had probably passed out of use by the late 19th century.
