A rectilinear mound or platform, approximately 24 by 25 metres in visible extent, is visible as an earthwork on lidar data captured in 2013. It is not clearly visible on the available historic aerial photographs, and could be a modern deposit. However its location next to a dog-leg in the roadway and just north of Wembworthy, suggests that it could be of greater age and perhaps associated with early settlement here.
