Western of two hut circles within Enclosure 'F' at 'Venford Valley South farmsteads' bisected by the Holne Moor leat.

Ancient Monuments, 2000-2001, Enclosed prehistoric settlement and round cairn 880m south-west of Venford Reservoir Dam (Schedule Document). SDV153094.

Settlement includes at least four enclosures, of which this is the northern. Agglomerated. Includes at least three elements. Defined by orthostatic walling except on western edge where it survives as a 1.2 metre high lynchet. The northern side has been removed by later streamworking and the Holne Moor Leat cuts the walling in several places. Two internal huts survive as orthostatic walls defining areas 3.5 metres and 5 metres diameter, up to 1.2 metres high. One hut has a visible doorway.
