Two curvilinear banks circa 5 metres in width are visible as subtle earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data. The banks are orientated roughly north-west to south-east on a gentle curving trajectory in a field above the River Torridge.
The banks do not correspond with any features on available 19th century historic maps, although they are parallel to former field boundaries in a historic landscape that has been is characterised as medieval enclosures based on strip fields. They are interpreted as the remains of field boundaries that may have formed part of a medieval strip field system, and that became disused by circa 1840.

Two linear banks shown either side of former field boundary depicted on the Tithe Map. Ss288180
