Earthworks of a curvilinear bank and ditch, both circa 7 metres wide, are visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2004 and 2013. The ditch is orientated north-west to south-east and intersects with a north-east to south-west aligned bank located towards its northern extent.
The earthworks do not correspond with any curvilinear features shown in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map, or on later available historic maps, but are in keeping with the surrounding historic field pattern, which is characterised as medieval enclosures based on strip fields.
The form of the earthworks supports the interpretation that they are relict field boundaries which had been removed by the mid-19th century. The orientation of the ditch in relation to the surrounding field pattern suggests it is of medieval date, whilst the bank that crosses it to the north is more likely to be of post-medieval date.
