Enclosure 'F' at 'Venford Valley South farmsteads' consists of three contiguous U-shaped enclosures are affected by tin streaming, which cuts through all three and bisects one of the two huts identified.

Probert, S. A. J. + Newman, P., 1997, Holne Moor, Dartmoor, Devonshire. A Landscape Survey by the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England (Report - Survey). SDV173671.

(18/04/1996) Two adjoining D-shaped enclosures and a hut circle lie adjacent to the tinner's cliff on the right bank of the west arm of the Venford Brook. The enclosures are equal in size and both cover around 0.5 hectares. They are bounded by turf-covered stoney banks 1.4 metres wide and 0.6 metres high. The enclosures have been truncated by the tinning activity on the Venford Brook and suffered later disturbance from the Holne Moor Leat which bisects the site. The hut circle at SX 6809 7062 has also been damaged by the leat and exists as a semi-circular platform 4 metres in diameter with a low stoney rim indicating the position of the former walls.

Ancient Monuments, 2000-2001, Enclosed prehistoric settlement and round cairn 880m south-west of Venford Reservoir Dam (Schedule Document). SDV153094.

Settlement includes at least four enclosures, of which this is the northern. Agglomerated. Includes at least three elements. Defined by orthostatic walling except on western edge where it survives as a 1.2m high lynchet. The northern side has been removed by later streamworking and the Holne Moor Leat cuts the walling in several places. Two internal huts survive as orthostatic walls defining areas 3.5m and 5m diameter, up to 1.2m high. One hut has a visible doorway.
