Curvilinear banks, between 3-8 metres wide and orientated north-east to south-west and north-west to south-east, are visible as earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013. One of the banks at SX38178070 corresponds with an extant field boundary first shown in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map. The remaining earthworks do not correspond with any such features on this map or on later available historic maps but are in keeping with the surrounding historic field pattern, which is characterised as both medieval enclosures and medieval enclosures based on strip fields.
The form of the earthworks supports the interpretation that they are field boundaries of a medieval field system which had mostly been removed by the mid-19th century. The earthworks have been truncated by the possible gutters of a post-medieval or 19th century catch meadow system (MDV129885).
