Summary

A rectilinear enclosure of probable late prehistoric date is visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark on gentle south-facing slope, to the south of Poundsland Cottages.

A rectilinear enclosure of probable late prehistoric to Roman date was visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark on gentle south-facing slope, to the south of Poundsland Cottages. The cropmark of a ditch less than 2 metres wide defined an enclosure roughly 30 metres square. A probable entrance can be seen as a break in the southern edge of the cropmark. No internal features are identifiable on the images available to the survey.
