A curvilinear bank circa 180 metres in length and between 9 and 14 metres in width, is visible as a subtle earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2004 and 2013. It is orientated north-west to south-east and situated across two fields south-west of West Panson.
The bank does not correspond with any features depicted the available 19th century maps. It is bisected by a depicted road, no longer extant, and is parallel to adjacent depicted field boundaries. The historic landscape is characterised as medieval enclosures based on strip fields.
The bank is interpreted as a field boundary of medieval origin that passed out of use by the late-19th century, and that may have formed part of a strip field system.
