A ring ditch is visible on aerial photographs as a ring ditch near the tip of a south facing spur overlooking the River Culm above Flock Mill Weir. The cropmark is between 1 metre and 1.5 metres in width, enclosing an area circa 15 metres in diameter. No breaks in the ring ditch indicative of an entrance are visible and it is most likely that the ditch cropmark is evidence of a barrow of Bronze Age date. The possible corner of another enclosure reported by the above authority as cutting the ring ditch is probably geological and not archaeological in origin. A small rectilinear cropmark to the west is now recorded separately as MDV108817.
