A curvilinear bank circa 50 metres in length and between 5 and 13 metres in width is visible as a subtle earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2004 and 2013 in a large field south-west of Pinslow Farm.
The bank does not correspond with any features depicted on 19th century or modern maps. The bank is parallel to adjacent depicted boundaries and situated in an orchard, which passed out of use in the late-20th century. The bank is visible, alongside adjacent former field boundaries, as a cropmark in aerial photography dating to 2001 and 2009.
The model farm of Pinslow is recorded adjacent (MDV61870), which was built in the mid-19th century. Ordnance Survey drawings dating to 1803 depict a farmstead or settlement already in situ.
The bank is interpreted as a medieval to post-medieval field boundary that passed out of use by the late-19th century, that possibly pre-dated the planting of the orchard and the establishment of the model farm.

The 1803 Ordnance Survey Drawing OSD 29 shows the settlement of Pensleigh.
