A curvilinear bank circa 240 metres in length and circa 8 metres in width, and orientated approximately north-west to south-east, is visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2004 and 2013 situated to the south-west of Luffincott.
The eastern part of the bank corresponds with a short section of track depicted on the available historic and modern maps. It is parallel with a depicted field boundary to the west of a former settlement with Rectory south of Luffincott, which passed out of use by the mid to late-20th century. It extends westwards towards an ‘Old Quarry’ depicted within a small enclosed area to the north-west on Ordnance Survey 25 inch First and Second Edition maps.
The curvilinear bank is interpreted as a trackway of post-medieval origin, that may have led from the settlement to the quarry, and that partially passed out of use prior to circa 1880.
