Six curvilinear banks and three curvilinear ditches are visible as subtle earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2004 and 2013. The banks and ditches are situated in parallel and orientated approximately north-west to south-east across several south-east facing fields south and east of Lower Horslett, Clawton.
The earthworks do not correspond with any features depicted on the available historic maps, however they are parallel to an adjacent depicted field boundary. The historic landscape is characterised as medieval enclosures based on strip fields.
The bank and ditch earthworks are interpreted as medieval field boundaries forming a field system that partially passed out of use prior to circa 1840.
