East Devon District Council, 2020, East Devon List of Local Heritage Assets (Local List - Register of Heritage Assets). SDV364013.

10, Moorlands Road, Silhari, Greenacre, Budleigh Salterton. Two storey detached dwelling (1926). Designed by architect William Hatchard-Smith, inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement. Details held at the Fairlynch museum. Double bay to side elevation, rendered with clay tile vertical hangings and roof. Retains original form and external detail. In excellent condition. Carefully and sensitively restored including internal and external features and grounds. A very fine example. Reason for Local Listing is age, aesthetic value and archival interest.

Approximate date built: 1926. Historic maps show little change to the footprint. Two storey detached house designed by architect William Hatchard-Smith. Double bay to side elevation, rendered with clay tile vertical hangings and roof. Probably the finest example remaining in original form and external detail.
Retains original form and external detail. In excellent condition. Carefully and sensitively restored by the present owners, including internal and external features and grounds. Internally, for example, original parquet floors, butler’s kitchen, light fittings, servants’ bell system, door frames and architraves in ‘Budleigh brown’, original kitchen units all sensitively restored.
