A roughly oval shaped depression circa 13 by 25 metres is visible as a subtle earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013. The depression is situated on the edge of a south facing field north of Holly Farm.
The depression corresponds to plot 740 on the Tithe Map recorded as a quarry. The depression does not correspond to any features depicted on the Ordnance Survey 25 inch First Edition map.
The earthwork depression is interpreted as an extractive pit or quarry of post-medieval or 19th century origin that ceased to be worked by the late 19th century.
