A semi-circular earthwork hollow, up to 13 metres in extent alongside the road south of Bursdon Moor, is visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2013. No features are depicted in this location on the available historic mapping. It is tentatively interpreted as a post-medieval or later extractive pit that went out of use before the late-19th century.
