A series of parallel curvilinear banks between circa 6 and 12 metres in width and between 85 and 190 metres in length are visible as earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2007 and 2013. The banks are situated across a south-west facing field north of Buckland Monachorum.
Some of the earthwork banks correspond to field boundaries depicted on the Tithe Map, and those that do not correspond are parallel to depicted field boundaries. The historic landscape is characterised as medieval enclosures based on strip fields.
The banks are interpreted as field boundaries of medieval origin that formed a strip field system and passed out of use prior to circa 1840.
