Sections of curvilinear banks and a ditch forming a right-angle are visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013 and 2019. The earthworks are situated in a south-east facing field north-east of Buckland Monachorum.
The earthworks do not correspond with any features depicted on the available historic maps, however they align with field boundaries surrounding a property depicted on the Tithe Map (Plot 471). Surrounding plots are recorded as orchards, a meadow and a kitchen garden. The field boundaries appear to have passed out of use by the late-19th century, however a building continues to be depicted in the centre of the field until the mid to late-20th century.
The earthwork banks and ditch are interpreted as field boundaries of medieval to post-medieval origin associated with the adjacent settlement, that passed out of use prior to circa 1840. It is possible the earthworks are evidence of a shrunken settlement that was later abandoned entirely.
