'Combe' is recorded in 1390, according to Place Names of Devon.


Jewell, A., 1980, West Combe Mill and Cider Press, Chagford (Worksheet). SDV255956.

There is a working cider press and a mill building at West Combe, Chagford. Mr Jewell believes the existing buildings to be 18th or 19th century in date.
