A series of curvilinear banks mostly parallel and orientated north-east to south-west, of varying lengths and between 5 to 8 metres in width, are visible as earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013. They are interspersed with some curvilinear ditches, some of which cut through the banks. The earthworks are situated across a number of south-west facing fields north-east of Milton Abbot.
The earthworks do not correspond with any features depicted on the available historic maps, however they are in parallel with depicted field boundaries. The historic landscape is part characterised as medieval enclosures based on strip fields, and part characterised as post-medieval enclosures with medieval elements.
The earthworks are interpreted as field boundaries of mostly medieval origin that probably formed part of a strip field system, and that passed out of use by the mid-19th century. Some of the banks and ditches are interpreted as probable post-medieval field boundaries or possible drainage features.
