Two curvilinear earthwork banks of approximately 2 metres wide are visible either side of a wider earthwork ditch that measures up to 6 metres across. They are aligned with a curvilinear field boundary to the immediate south that is depicted on the Tithe map, and are interpreted as the remains of a holloway that went out of use by the mid-19th century. An additional segment of ditch to the north indicates that the route once linked Barton to St Mary's church.
