A small oval shaped depression circa 17 metres by 12 metres, is visible as an earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013. It is situated on level ground adjacent to a road in a field south of Longcross.
The depression does not correspond with any features depicted on the available historic maps. A quarry is recorded to the south (MDV76612).
The earthwork is interpreted as an extractive pit of post-medieval origin.
