Full description
Burleigh, D., 2003, A Report on the Historic Chest Tombs in the Churchyard of St. Giles Church, Sidbury, Devon, No. 1 (Report - non-specific). SDV348681.
Chest tomb of Beer stone with a chamfered cap stone. There is no visible inscription or date but stylistically it dates to the 18th century. The corners of the supporting panels are missing due to the action of rusting iron cramps, the expansion of which has also lifted the cap. A section of the south-west corner has become detached and is inside the tomb.
