Full description
Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.
The earthworks do not correspond to any depicted features, however one of the banks is parallel to a depicted field boundary.

Two curvilinear banks between circa 3 and 8 metres in width are visible as subtle earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2005 and 2013. The banks align with each other forming a shallow S-shape across two north-west facing fields south-west of Wrixhill.
The banks do not correspond with any features depicted on the available historic maps, however one of the banks is parallel with an adjacent depicted field boundary. The historic landscape is characterised as medieval enclosures.
The banks are interpreted as field boundaries of medieval to post-medieval origin, that passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
