A series of parallel curvilinear banks between circa 7 and 20 metres in width are visible as earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013. The banks are situated across several south facing fields north and north-east of Higher Edgcumbe.
The banks do not correspond to any features depicted on the available historic maps. The historic landscape is characterised as post-medieval enclosures with medieval elements.
The banks are interpreted as medieval field boundaries that formed a strip field system, and that passed out of use by the mid-19th century. A ditch cutting through several banks aligns with a depicted field boundary and is interpreted to be of post-medieval origin.
Transcriptions have been cut short to the north due to unavailable lidar data.
