An irregular shaped mound circa 15 metres by 30 metres is visible as a distinct earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013. The mound is situated in a south-east facing field north-west of Hardimead.
The mound corresponds to an earthwork depicted on the Ordnance Survey 25 inch First Edition map and subsequent map sources. The earthwork is visible on aerial photographs dating from the 1940s and late-20th to early-21st century mapping.
The mound is of unknown origin or purpose. It is possible it may have once formed two distinct mounds that have become merged, based upon its shape.
