Full description
Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.
The earthwork does not correspond with any depicted features, however it aligns approximately with a trackway leading into a field to the south-east.

A curvilinear ditch circa 100 metres in length and circa 6 metres in width is visible as an earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013. The ditch is orientated north-west to south-east in a west facing field to the immediate south of Milton Abbot.
The ditch does not correspond with any features depicted on the available historic maps; however, it does align approximately with a trackway depicted to the south-east and is orientated towards the road to the north-west on the Tithe Map. The historic landscape is characterised as ‘medieval enclosures’.
The ditch is interpreted either as a field boundary or trackway of medieval to post-medieval origin, that passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
