A curvilinear bank circa 170 metres in length and circa 8 metres in width is visible as an earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013. The ditch is orientated north-west to south-east in a north-west facing field south-east of Milton Abbot.
Part of the bank corresponds approximately with a field boundary depicted on historic maps bounding a small plot recorded as a nursey in the Tithe Apportionment. It is parallel to adjacent depicted field boundaries. The historic landscape is characterised as ‘medieval enclosures’.
The bank is interpreted as a field boundary of medieval to post-medieval origin, that passed out of use prior to 1840.
