A curvilinear bank circa 65 metres in length and forming a shallow L-shape is visible as an earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013. The bank is situated in a south-east facing field north-west of Hardimead, closely situated to a distinct mound of unknown origin (MDV130440).
The bank does not correspond with any features depicted on the available historic maps. The historic landscape is characterised as ‘medieval enclosures based on strip fields’.
The bank is interpreted as a field boundary of medieval to post-medieval origin, that passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
