Several parallel curvilinear banks circa 7 metres in width and circa 12 metres apart are visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2005. The banks are orientated approximately north-east to south-west across two west facing fields north-east of Hardicott Cottage.
The banks do not correspond with any features depicted on the available historic maps, however they are in parallel to adjacent depicted field boundaries. The historic landscape is characterised as ‘post-medieval enclosures’ and ‘post-medieval enclosures with medieval elements’.
The banks are interpreted as field boundaries of medieval origin that may have formed part of a strip field system, and that passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
