A curvilinear ditch circa 95 metres in length and circa 8 metres in width is visible as an earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2004 and 2013. The ditch is orientation north-east to south-west in a south-east facing field south-west of Willesley.
The ditch does not correspond with any features depicted on the available historic maps, however its does align with a field boundary to the immediate east. The historic landscape is characterised as ‘medieval enclosures based on strip fields’.
The ditch is interpreted as a field boundary of medieval to post-medieval origin that passed out of use prior to circa 1840.
