(20/01/1978) One of a group of five hut circles, all in very poor condition with walls ruined and fragmentary. Average thickness of walling 1.5m to 2.0m. Internal diameter 5.5m. Probably a Type 1 hut with no visible entrance.

Greeves, T. A. P., 1980, Possible ring cairn (Worksheet). SDV253687.

(24/06/1980) Possible large prehistoric ring cairn, consisting of a ring of small stones merging into concave depression of stones in centre of ring. However there appear to be two more or less opposing gaps in the ring, which perhaps casts doubt on its Prehistoric status, or suggests that it may have been some sort of dwelling.
Possibly the same feature as the 'hut circle' noted by the Ordnance Survey. See SX69SW/108 (R.B.).

Oates, M., 2015, Image of circular 'stony platform' (Photograph). SDV365004.

(09/03/2015) SX 63107 93536. Large circular stony 'platform' photographed. Doughnut-shaped feature about 16m in diameter. The outer 'ring' is 4m and roughly 1m in height, the middle, a depression, is 8m diameter.
Several small, round cairns and a large circular area cut into the hillside were also seen (didn't appear like a hut circle to recorder); no hut circles were noted.
